Recently I was asked by the team at VFXwire.com to write a commentary on the impact of AI on the VFX and animation industries. During the short while this article was written and published, the playing field again changed with the announcement of OpenAI’s Sora.  AI will have so much impact on the industry. Probably more so than we’re willing to admit however, advancements in technology will continue to stun us going forward. We must find a way to leverage this new tech without the loss of our craft or our individual creativity. I personally feel this is possible, but its gonna take a little soul searching.
